Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 29 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of The Exam Brief. Please read them carefully. By creating an account, purchasing access, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About us
The Exam Brief (“The Exam Brief”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a psychology exam-preparation platform operated by The Exam Brief, a proprietorship of Sahras Khan, having its place of business at F 274 A, Second Floor, Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar, Okhla, Abul Fazal Enclave Part II, New Delhi, South East Delhi, Delhi 110025, India. Our GSTIN is 07OKOPK9506B1ZR and our UDYAM registration number is UDYAM-DL-09-0049670. These terms form a binding agreement between you (“you” or “user”) and us.
2. Definitions
- Platform — the The Exam Brief website on which these Terms are displayed, including its study notes, daily practice, flashcards, progress tools, and related services.
- Content — all study notes, questions, explanations, diagrams, and other material made available on the Platform.
- Access period — the three-year period of paid Portal access beginning when a verified payment successfully grants working access.
- Account — the personal, single-user login through which you access the Platform.
3. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, completing a purchase, or using any part of the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and Shipping & Delivery Policy, each of which is incorporated into these terms by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or accessing the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and capable of forming a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By using the Platform you confirm that the information you provide during registration is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will keep it updated.
5. Accounts and account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at admin@theexambrief.com of any unauthorised use. Each purchase is for a single individual’s use only.
To protect against account sharing, the Platform limits the number of devices that may be signed in to a single account. When you exceed this limit, additional devices may be blocked until you contact us to reset your registered devices. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being shared, resold, or used by more than one person.
6. Purchase, access period, and renewal
Portal access is sold as a one-time payment in Indian Rupees granting three years of digital access from the date a verified payment successfully grants working access. The features and price shown at checkout form part of your purchase. Access is personal and non-transferable, and may not be resold, gifted, or assigned.
The purchase does not create an automatic recurring charge, and there is no auto-renewal. Renewal is optional and manual. We plan to send a reminder 14 days before expiry. A verified renewal adds three years from the existing expiry date; after expiry, paid access remains blocked until renewal is verified. The renewal price will be shown before you choose to renew and may differ from the price you originally paid.
7. Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited), a third-party payment gateway. By making a payment you also agree to Razorpay’s terms of service and privacy policy.
We do not collect or store your full card, UPI, or banking details on our servers. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. If a payment is declined, reversed, or charged back, we may suspend or withdraw the associated access.
8. Delivery of access
The Platform sells digital access only. Nothing is physically shipped. Access is enabled on your existing account as soon as Razorpay confirms a successful payment. Full details, including what happens if access does not appear, are set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
9. Refunds and cancellation
Ordinary purchases are non-refundable after paid access is activated. Duplicate charges, failed-payment debits, incorrect amounts, and verified payments that do not produce working access and cannot be remedied within two business days are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Licence and acceptable use
Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the Content for your own exam preparation. You must not:
- copy, download in bulk, scrape, record, screenshot for redistribution, republish, sell, sub-licence, or publicly share any Content;
- share your account or login with any other person;
- attempt to bypass the device limit, paywall, or any access control;
- use any automated system, bot, or crawler to access or extract Content;
- reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its data;
- upload or transmit anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or malicious;
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that infringes our or a third party’s rights.
Breach of this section is a material breach and may result in immediate termination without refund, in addition to any other remedy available to us in law.
11. Intellectual property
All Content, branding, logos, and the “The Exam Brief” name are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you. The limited licence in Section 10 ends when your access period ends or your account is terminated.
Where Content refers to published research, theorists, or examination material, such references are made for educational and study purposes. Trademarks and examination names belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
12. Your submissions and feedback
Any notes, highlights, or answers you create on the Platform remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process them solely to operate the Platform and provide the service to you.
If you send us suggestions, corrections, or feedback about the Content or the Platform, you agree that we may use them without restriction and without any obligation to compensate you.
13. Third-party links and services
The Platform may link to third-party websites or rely on third-party services such as our payment gateway, hosting, and email providers. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or availability of those third parties. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
14. Educational disclaimer

You remain responsible for verifying current syllabi, eligibility criteria, and exam patterns from official sources.
Nothing on the Platform is clinical, medical, psychological, or professional advice, and it must not be relied on as such.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
The Platform and the Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any error in the Content will be corrected. We may need to take the Platform offline for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss of opportunity, data, goodwill, or expected exam results, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the amount you actually paid to us for the access period connected to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under applicable consumer-protection law.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Platform or Content, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
18. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time and may ask us to close your account by writing to admin@theexambrief.com. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Platform or other users. On termination, your licence to the Content ends immediately. Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 11, 15, 16, 17, and 22, will continue to apply.
19. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from causes beyond our reasonable control, including internet or hosting failures, power outages, acts of government, natural disasters, epidemics, or industrial action.
20. Changes to the Platform and to these terms
We may add, modify, or discontinue Content, features, or plans over time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect an active access period.
We may also update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where the changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
21. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms. We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, provided your rights under these terms are not materially reduced.
22. General
- Severability — if any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- No waiver — our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Entire agreement — these terms, together with the policies referenced in Section 3, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform.
